You will find the village of Agios Loukas on your way to Artemonas. The village was named after the church of Agios Loukas. In the village you can also visit some more graphical temples such as the church of Ai Giorgi t’Afenti (1635) or the holly temple of Agios Konstantinos, built in 1462. Another interesting church is the one of Virgin Mary of Gournia with rare murals. Agios Loukas is the homeland of Nikolaos Vernikos-Eugenidis(president of Eugenidio Foundation) and Alexandros Vernikos (shipowner and former minister) .
